  • Diabetes Dayton offers a free two-part series of adult diabetes education classes each month!

  • Classes are taught by Certified Diabetes Educators

  • Accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators

  • Open to newly diagnosed diabetics, pre-diabetics and those interested in a refresher class    

  • Class sizes are limited to 10 at this time - please register below or call the office (937-220-6611) to reserve your spot

Diabetes Survival Skills (101)

What you'll learn in our 101 Class:

  • Explanation of the disease

  • Monitoring properly

  • Taking medications and insulin

  • Treating highs and lows

  • Introduction to meal planning

Class Time: Saturdays, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Dates:  January 11th; February 8th; March 14th; April 18th; May 9th; June 13th; July 11th; august 8th; September 12th; October 10th; November 14th and December 12th.

What you'll learn in our 102 Class:

  • Three steps of eating well

  • Understanding Carbs

  • Choosing foods and reading labels

  • Extras: sugar substitutes, alcohol, discretionary food
