CLASSES

 

  • Diabetes Dayton offers a  two-part series of adult diabetes education classes each month!  There is a $10 materials fee due at the time of registration.  

  • Classes are taught by Certified Diabetes Educators

  • Accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators

  • Open to newly diagnosed diabetics, pre-diabetics and those interested in a refresher class    

  • Classes will resume in February 2022.  Class size will be limited and you MUST wear a face covering.  You must register either on line or by calling our office.  937-220-6611

Diabetes Survival Skills (101)

What you'll learn in our 101 Class:

  • Explanation of the disease

  • Monitoring properly

  • Taking medications and insulin

  • Treating highs and lows

  • Introduction to meal planning

Class Time: Saturdays, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Dates:  February 12th; March 12th; April 9th; May 14th; June 1th; July 9th; August 13th; September 10th; October 8th; November 12th and December 10th.

Cost: $10 Materials fee covers both sessions

  • Extras: sugar substitutes, alcohol, discretionary food
