Where does the money go when I donate to Diabetes Dayton?

In 2020, we became an agency of LifeCare Alliance  in order to enhance and expand our programs and services.  All of the funds raised stay in the Dayton area to help local residents and their families.  When donating you can specify which program(s) you’d like your donation to benefit.

Are you a registered 501(c)3 non-profit?

Yes.  Our tax id # is: 31-4379494.

How long have you been serving the Dayton community?

Formerly known as the Diabetes Association of the Dayton Area (DADA), Diabetes Dayton has been in operation since 1963.  We are a BBB accredited charity, a United Way Partner Agency and winner of the Eclipse Integrity Award for non-profit organizations.

Do you help people with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes?

Here at Diabetes Dayton we offer help to anyone affected by diabetes, pre-diabetes, Insulin Resistance, or metabolic disorders.  Every person or family affected by diabetes is welcome to utilize our assistance.

If I donate to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) you get part of that money. Right?

Diabetes Dayton does not receive funds from any national agencies, such as the American Diabetes Association (ADA) or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).  We are a local, independent agency that operates a small office in the Dayton area.  Our funding comes from individual donations, memorials honoring loved ones, grants, corporations, foundations and our annual fundraiser.
